Anthony Leonard Randall (born Aryeh Leonard Rosenberg; February 26, 1920 - May 17, 2004) was an American actor. Randall co-starred with Debbie Reynolds in MGM's The Courtship Game (1959). He appeared in the hit film Pillow Talk (1959), supporting Doris Day and Rock Hudson; he would reunite with Day and Hudson for two more films.
He appeared in the NBC television special The Secret of Freedom, which was filmed in the summer of 1959 in Mount Holly, New Jersey, and aired on the network in the fall of 1959 and early 1960. On television, he was also the co-author of Man on the Moon (1960), by Mel Brooks.



Randall topped MGM's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1960). He played pillow talk-style support roles with Marilyn Monroe and Yves Montand in Let's Make Love (1960) and with Hudson and Day's Lovers Come Back (1961). Randall continued to make guest appearances on television shows including General Electric Theater and The General, and in 1961, Randall played a highly dramatic role in "The Hangover," an hour-long episode of Alfred Hitchcock in which he portrayed an alcoholic corporate executive who strangles his wife in a drunken rage. He starred in the television series Arsenic and Old Lace (1962) and had big-screen leading roles in Boys' Night Out (1962) and Love Island (1963)

Randall appeared in nearly every major role in the 1964 classic The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao, based on Charles G. Finney's The Circus of Dr. Lao. In addition to depicting and voicing the seven faces of the same name (Dr. Law, the Abominable Snowman, Merlin, Apollonius of Tyana, the Giant Snake, Pan, and Medusa), Randall also appears as a solemn audience member in a two-second cameo as a vegetarian in the crowd, for a total of eight characters in the film.

He played the lead in The Brass Bottle (1964) and co-produced the final film, Send Me No Flowers (1965), with Hudson and Day. Randall starred in Fluffy (1965), a comedy about a lion; The Alphabet Murders (1965), playing Hercule Poirot for Frank Tashlin; Our Man in Marrakech (1966), as an agent; and Hello There (1969).

Randall returned to Broadway at UTBU (1966), which was only briefly. He appeared with Johnny Whitaker and Fred Gwynne in the television movie The Littlest Angel (1969).
He became famous for his role in Neil Simon's The Strange Lovers. He began his professional career in 1940. In Worcester, Massachusetts, he worked as an announcer for WTAG radio.

Tony Randall also worked for the U.S. Army Communications Corps in World War II and for the Signal Intelligence Agency. In 1940, he got his first job by playing "Reggie" in a radio series called "I Love a Mystery. He appeared in many films and was very successful for his acting.
